GENERAL INFORMATION

HOMEWORK REQUEST PROCEDURE

For absences of less than 3 days, we ask that the student make arrangements directly with their teacher to get any make up work. In order to request make up work due to a lengthy absence of 3 or more days, contact the Guidance Office at 386-322-6100 ext. 38497. Please allow 24 hours for the work to be collected from the teachers.

PARENT CONFERENCES

School Counselors are available for conferences throughout the school day, however, to ensure that your child's counselor is available we recommend that you call ahead and set up an appointment. Please contact our secretary at 386-322-6100 extension 38497. Parent/Teacher conferences are setup with at least 24-hour advanced notice.

Gradebook/VIMS

VIMS (Volusia Instructional Mgmt System) is your tool for staying informed as a student or parent by providing access to attendance, grades, current and upcoming assignments and teacher e-mail addresses. VIMS is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any computer with an Internet connection. Access to VIMS requires a confidential username and password that may be obtained by contacting the DLTL Coordinator at 386-322-6100 extension 38109.

PARENT PORTAL

The ParentPortal will allow parents to monitor their child's progress in school by providing Internet access to grades, attendance, discipline, academic history, graduation verification, and standardized test results in a secure password protected environment. An authorization form needs to be obtained through the School Counseling Office (Mrs. Gutierrez) in order to access your child's data.
