Link to “2006 Colleges and Scholarships.” This site contains numerous sites that are
useful to students and parents. Also, students can apply on-line to colleges.

According to Knowledge TV this is the best Web site for college scholarship
searches with over 600,000 awards.

COOL – College Opportunities OnLine
Web-based resource that is maintained by the U.S. Dept. of Education. A free information site where students can access information about more than 6,000 institutions by geographic region, type of institution, instructional program, name of institution or by number of students.

6) www.studentaid.ed.gov
A comprehensive, up-to-date site that provides on-line information regarding the FAFSA form, on-line publications, the Federal (Title IV) School Code List, electronic versions of the student aid application, and searchable databases.

7) FACTS.org
A complete package of online support services with information about all of the state’s postsecondary opportunities online: Florida institutions, admissions, financial aid, career counseling, transcripts/grades, academic advisement, & high school resources.

Complete your free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on line.

9) Fastweb.com
Provides high school students/parents with free tools to locate and apply for college scholarships, loans, and savings opportunities, and to successfully transition from high school to college. The premier one-stop financial aid and career Internet site for college-bound students.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association is the organization that determines/
certifies athletic eligibility for high school students who wish to participate in an
athletic program at a Division I or II school.

A free resource for graduating seniors and college bound students: hot resources, career tool kit, find a job, pursue an education, get a new resume.

A free online scholarship service from Sallie Mae that allows quick and easy access to information on scholarships, grants, and other types of “free money” for college.

offers free SAT and ACT practice tests. Don’t worry, GoCollege will interrupt a test for you if you don’t want to take it all in one sitting.

free SAT practice test. Questions become harder as you progress through the test. If you get an answer wrong, the site will tell you why. The site will also prep you on strategies for each section of the SAT and help you build your vocabulary.

School Counseling and Guidance Services site offers many resources for parents and students: counseling agencies in the community, academic advising, career planning, district services, and resources for college. “Five Easy Steps toward College” section can assist students as they plan to attend college after high school.

One-Stop Career System of services site will help students with all of their employment needs. It provides access to hundreds of job listings. It also has available workshops under calendar of events. These workshops can help students to prepare for the needs and expectations of local businesses – resume writing, interviewing skills, secrets to filling out a job application, and business etiquette. All services provided are free of charge.

A free private scholarship database ($32 billion in awards), which is available to the general public for free. Future services: College test prep center, career assessment/job placement center
