GRADUATION - MAY 27 - CLASS OF 2025

 GRADUATION DAY for the CLASS OF 2025 will take place at 4PM at the OCEAN CENTER in Daytona Beach.

 This is a ticketed event. Tickets can be purchased through your V-Portal beginning May 1, 2025. There is no limit to the amount of tickets purchased. 

 Parking passes will also be available for purchase at that time. 

TICKETS purchased can be picked up at the AHS front office beginning May 2nd. Please have your ID ready. 

Clear bag policy
Volusia County Schools Bag Policy

Approved Bags

  • Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12"x6"x12"
    • A logo no larger than 4.5"x 3.4" can be displayed on one side of a permissible clear bag.
    • A clear bag shall be clear from top-to-bottom and up to a 2” trim/border on the bag is generally acceptable.
  • One-gallon clear, re-sealable plastic storage bag
  • Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5"x6.5", approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap
  • Medically necessary items (after proper inspection)

Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to:

  • Purses
  • Backpacks
  • Cinch/Drawstring Bags
  • Briefcases
  • Coolers
  • Fanny packs
  • Luggage of any kind
  • Computer bags
  • Camera bags
  • Binocular cases
  • Any bag larger than the permissible size

Prohibited Items

  • Outside food or drink (including alcoholic beverages) – one 20 oz or less water bottle is allowed into school facilities
  • Artificial Noise Makers
  • Backpacks
  • Cameras with extendable lenses larger than six inches
  • Bags not compliant with the clear bag policy
  • Tobacco products (including e-cigarettes, vapor pens, and chewing tobacco)
  • Umbrellas
  • Video cameras/cases
  • Weapons

This council meets monthly, assists in making recommendations on how our school operates. 

Second Monday of every month at 5:30pm in the media center.

Dual Enrollment helps eligible accelerated high school students access coursework at the University of Florida from their home district. This program offers fully online courses taught by UF faculty, provides students with a college learning experience, and adheres to the UF academic calendar.

Spring 2025 registration is now open! If you are a current junior or senior, with a 3.6 unweighted GPA, with the following test scores from either of these test: SAT 1100, PSAT 1130, ACT 22, CLT 72; then this opportunity is for you.
