Daytona State Dual Enrollment

Daytona State College offers a Dual Enrollment program that can help you get a head start on your college education while still in high school, no matter where you choose to pursue your higher education upon graduation. Through Dual Enrollment, you can begin your college studies by choosing one of several career oriented programs linked with programs offered at Daytona State College. For more information about dual enrollment, please review the information in the links below, and talk to your school counselor to begin the process.

Important Dates:

  • 10/24 - The Spring schedule will open for viewing only (meaning you can see the dates/times of courses) for planning purposes.
  • 11/3 - Open Registration for everyone – This is the date you can begin submitting your registration form to dualenrollment@daytonastate.edu
  • 12/5* - Deadline for all Spring course requests is (Full/A/B term).

* Students must complete their DSC admissions application, placement testing, and submit a signed dual enrollment form with courses selected for Full/A/B term courses by this date to be enrolled.

PERT Test Dates at Atlantic

Test Dates for the 2022-2023 School Year: Sign-Up with QR code posted at Guidance doors 1-2 weeks prior to actual test dates.

How Do I Get My Books?

Please email Mrs. Sharon Smith at  sjsmith@volusia.k12.fl.us  to get your books for Daytona State classes. Please provide her with your name, alpha code and DSC ID number.  You will then receive an email when your books are ready for pickup in the media center.

For Summer A & B classes -please schedule a pick-up time with Mrs. Sharon Smith prior to June 23rd.

Helpful Guide

Daytona State College at Atlantic

The below four courses are offered on the Atlantic School Campus.

SLS 1122 Dynamics of Student Success, a 5.0 weighted college level course that helps students make wise choices in college.  This class is designed to increase student success through the development of academic and life skills. Topics include: study techniques, test anxiety, memory techniques and personal development.  This course will help satisfy the graduation requirements for the Associate of Arts degree.

Criteria: 2.5 unweighted GPA and PERT scores of at least an 84 in Reading and a 90 in Writing.

Criteria: 3.0 unweighted GPA and PERT scores of at least a 106 in Reading and a 103 in Writing.

*** The PERT is offered periodically throughout the year. Sign-ups will be announced via Shark News during 2nd period.

Spring 2023 Term Application Dates for All UF Dual Enrollment Students* 

  • Application Opens: 10/11/2022 
  • Application Closes: 11/18/2022 

*Note: ALL students must reapply each semester on our website in order to take classes with UF Dual Enrollment—including current and previous students who plan on taking classes with us for the Spring 2023 term! Alachua County & Palm Beach County students must also resubmit their paper forms!
