Principal, Jason Watson - Welcome Letter

Dear Atlantic High School Parents and Students,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Atlantic High School! On behalf of the entire faculty and staff, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to our returning families and those joining us for the first time. We are thrilled to have you as part of our school community.

As we begin this new academic year, I want to encourage our students to GET INVOLVED!  AHS offers incredible Academies and Programs to choose from, and a full menu of sports, clubs, and organizations.  Detailed information on each of these opportunities can be found right here on our website.  Discover your interests, develop your talents, and make lasting friendships along the way. It is never too late to contact your counselor to discuss your interests and options. 

This year, we are adding the Cambridge/AICE program to our course offerings!  The AICE program is an accelerated college preparatory program that will allow students to learn global skills, while earning an accredited Cambridge/AICE diploma.  Graduating with an AICE diploma qualifies students for a 100% Bright Futures Scholarship!!! 

Parents- your involvement, support, and open communication are invaluable in ensuring your child's success. We encourage you to actively engage in your child's education, attend parent-teacher conferences, check grades on the parent portal, and take advantage of the various opportunities to connect with our dedicated staff.

Each week, we produce a newsletter called Shark Week that will give you lots of information about the week ahead.  We will send this electronically, so please make sure that your Parent Portal account and contact information are current.  Should you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
