Class of 2023 Graduation Information
Senior Awards: Honors Night is a scholarship and awards ceremony where we honor seniors who have excelled in academic endeavors. This is by invitation only.
· SENIOR AWARDS;
o When: Thursday, May 25th @ 6:00 PM
o Where: AHS Auditorium
Graduation
· Cap & Gown: Distribution on Tuesday, May 16th during the Senior Drive-thru from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the parent loop.
· Graduation Pictures: Dean Stewart Photography will be our official graduation photographer this year. Please visit https://vando.imagequix.com/g1001010513 to pre-register in order to be notified when your pictures are ready for viewing.
· Graduation Practice:
o Graduation Practice is Mandatory
o When: Tuesday, May 30th @ 8:00AM at the OCEAN CENTER
o Where to Park: Free Parking will be in the SOUTH LOT next to Peabody Auditorium
o Park & be inside the arena by 7:30AM
· Graduation Ceremony:
o When: Wednesday, May 31st @ 7:00 PM at the OCEAN CENTER
o Graduates must arrive inside the arena at 6:00 PM, dressed & ready
o Where: Ocean Center, Daytona Beach
· Graduation Tickets:
o Graduation Tickets: $3.00 each and may be purchased online at atlanticsharks.com - please pick up online ticket purchases in the main office between 9am - 11am.
o Parking: $5 – this is the paid in advance price (cash only) and will be $10 for the day of at the Ocean Center
o When: Tickets will go on sale May 2 – 26, 2023 – online only at atlanticsharks.com
o Online tickets can be picked up anytime in the front office. If you order online, please allow 1 day for your tickets to be processed and ready for pick up.
o In person ticket sales can be made in the front office (from 9am – 11am) or in the activities office during lunch or after school.
**ALL senior obligations must be paid by May 12th
Expectations for the Class of 2023
· As a 2023 Atlantic Shark Senior, thank you in advance for providing a great example to students with your mature and responsible behavior J
· Each Senior Shark will conduct himself/herself in a manner appropriate to the occasion and will always be respectful to his/her fellow classmates, school personnel, family, and guests in attendance.
Dress Code & Expectations for ALL Senior Events
· Hairstyles are to be kept simple so that graduation caps will fit on the head properly.
· Caps are to be level on head and may not be decorated.
· Leave sunglasses, hats, phones, and purses at home or in your vehicle. There will be no one to care for valuables during the ceremonies.
· NO GUM!
· No extra adornments on the gown such as corsages, pins, medals, personalized stoles, cords, etc.
· Only those items distributed by Atlantic HS personnel can be worn on or over the gown.
Female Graduates:
· Wear a cool, lightweight dress or skirt and blouse under the graduation gown; choose a style with simple neckline which will not interfere with the neckline of the graduation gown. Dresses should not hang below the graduation gown.
· Wear dress shoes with low/medium size (height) heels or flats. No flip flops or sneakers.
Male Graduates:
· Wear black or navy dress pants and black dress shoes – no jeans, sneakers, topsiders, flip flops, or sandals are allowed.
· Wear a dress shirt with a collar and a men’s tie.

Dear Atlantic Shark Class of 2023,
Welcome to your senior year!
Your Graduation Ceremony will be Wednesday, May 31st AT 7PM at the Ocean Center. The following is a list of some of the senior activities and events. Please Note: all dates, times, and fees are subject to change.
Check the school website, atlanticsharks.com frequently for updated information. Look under "Student Life / Senior Class of 2023". By now you should have taken or made an appointment to have your Senior Yearbook picture taken by Dean Stewart Photography. The deadline to book your appointment at DSP studio is December 16. These are the only pictures that may be used in the yearbook.

GRADUATION FEES DUE $65: The cost of the cap, gown and tassel, is part of your senior graduation dues ($65). Please pay your dues by December 16th. Caps & Gowns will be distributed in May at the Senior Drive Thru event. Graduation fees must be paid to receive your Cap & Gown. Pay online at: atlanticsharks.com

SENIOR YEARBOOK PORTRAITS: LAST CHANCE : DSP will have a photographer on our campus on this day. This is for last chance senior yearbook portraits. You will not have the opportunity to select your photo. They will take one yearbook headshot only. If you want a complete senior portrait sitting, please book by Dec. 16 at www.dsp-photo.com |

SENIOR DRIVE THRU CAR PARADE: CAP & GOWN DISTRIBUTION - 5:30pm - 6:30pm Pick up Cap/Gowns, Teacher Awards, Academy Cords & Senior gifts! Decorate your car, bring your family as you drive through our parent loop and front of school. DJ music will be playing. Special giveaways for decorated cars. You don't want to miss this event!

May 23 |
SENIOR PICNIC - yearbook signing / lunch provided / prizes. Bring your beach chair, hat, sunglasses, frisbee, beach ball, music and have fun with your senior class!

SENIOR AWARDS - by invitation only This prestigious award ceremony will be limited to major scholarship recipients, Wall of Fame recognition and those with academic accolades. Invitations will be sent out in May. If you have received any major scholarships, please let your counselor know.

BACCALAUREATE - open to all seniors / wear cap & gown This is a ceremony to offer a blessing to our senior class. This is an optional event for any senior and their families that wish to attend. 6pm at Our Lady of Hope.

May 30 |
GRADUATION REHEARSAL - MANDATORY for all graduating seniors 8:00am start time. Arrive by 7:30am All students must provide their own transportation. This is a required practice for all seniors planning to participate in the Graduation ceremony. Students who do not attend this practice may not walk at Graduation. Attire: comfortable clothes and shoes.

GRADUATION CEREMONY begins at 7pm at the Ocean Center. Seniors should report to their assigned area at the Ocean Center by 6:00PM. Attire: cap & gown, dresses / dress pants, dress shoes. Collared shirts / ties. AHS stoles, honor & academy cords only. NO jeans or sneakers. The ceremony will last approximately 90 minutes. Tickets will go on sale in May.
